Whether your dog is a high or low maintenance breed, it is still advisable to seek professional dog grooming as it can provide many health benefits to your cherished pet. Brushing ventilates the coat, ensuring it remains strong and healthy. It releases natural oils and removes old and damaged hair.
Dog grooming ensures the skin can breathe and eliminates grease, which can block the pores, resulting in irritations and endless skin problems. It also promotes healthy blood circulation. Hair can cause knots, which can be extremely painful if not regularly dealt with. Mud and grass seeds, which are extremely common to our area, can become trapped in between the pads, also causing great pain and possible infections. Having regular health checks with Groomingdales before every groom, can help to avoid all of these issues, including ear, paw and eye infections as well as checking for fleas, ticks and any lumps.

Wash and Go
For a dog that’s always on the go and is partial to a muddy puddle or a roll in something smelly! Bring your doggy after your walk and we will shampoo and apply and massage in our luxurious conditioning treatment, followed by a warm blow dry, ending with our natural finishing body spray, restoring your best friend’s coat to its former glory. Ideal for short haired dogs that don’t tangle easily.

Bath, Brush and Tidy
Ideal for in between grooms, when your dog isn’t quite ready for their full groom, but needs a clean and tidy up. Includes a health check, brush out, full bath with 2 shampoos and luxurious conditioning treatment, a warm blow dry, tail, feet, groin, bottom and face trim, ending with our natural finishing body spray.

Full Groom
Our most popular service which gives your dog all it needs to feel and look amazing. We offer a full consultation including a health check.
Dead hair removal, full brush out removing all knots and matts, a nail trim, ear pluck and cleanse, trim between pads and paws, groin and bottom trim, full bath with 2 shampoos and a luxurious conditioning treatment. A warm blow dry, coat and face styling to a bespoke style of your choice or in line with the standard for the breed, finishing with a natural finishing body spray.
Please note – Some breeds are more susceptible to matting, which if not maintained regularly, can become extremely painful for the dog when trying to remove. If removal of matts is causing pain or is likely to cause pain, then we will suggest a full body clip and a manageable plan going forward to best look after your dog’s coat.

Short haired and natural breed groom
Full brush and dead hair removal, nail trim, tidy between the pads and ear cleanse. We will then shampoo twice, followed by our luxurious conditioning treatment. Your dog will then have a warm blow dry and then final dead hair removal using our salon specialist blaster, ending with our natural finishing body spray.

Handstrip
A specialist procedure involving the removal of dead hair from your dogs coat, by means of a stripping knife or by plucking with fingers. This process is painless and allows your dogs new coat to grow through. Includes full bath with 2 shampoos and our luxury conditioning treatment. A warm blow dry, nail trim, ear pluck and cleanse, trim between pads, bottom trim, finishing with our natural finishing body spray. Only suitable for selected wire coated breeds.

Puppy package
It is so important that your new pup becomes used to our studio environment and being handled by our groomers from a very young age, to avoid stress later on. We introduce your puppy to grooming very gently. We recommend your pup comes from the age of 12 weeks. At 6 months your pup will need to start coming for their full groom.

Fleas
An additional charge of £5 will be made if fleas are found, as a treatment will be applied to kill and remove them.

Groom your own dog
Come to Groomingdales to experience a half a day, hands on tuition by a qualified stylist.
You will be taught the basic skills enabling you to groom your own dog, whilst having the added bonus of your own dog receiving a professional full groom.

Teeth cleaning
It is vital to keep your dogs teeth clean and free from tartar, as infection and decay can occur, leading to severe pain and possible problems with internal organs.
We offer a safe, fun, flexible and loving environment to leave your dog. Your dog will be treated as one of the family while they are here and as dog owners ourselves, we will love your dog like he/she is our own. We ask that you bring your dog along to meet us to see how they fit in to the Groomingdales family. We always want every dog to feel safe, happy and secure and to understand individual needs. At Groomingdales, we appreciate your commitments vary from day to day and we will endeavour to be as flexible as possible. All dogs must be fully vaccinated and upto date with flea, tick and worming treatments.
